Kennedy Center Vital Voices Awards

Girl Scout Troop 6978 attended the Kennedy Center Vital Voices Awards presentation. 500 young women including 55 from GSCNC were invited to attend the 10th Annual Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards. Welcome remarks were offered by founder of the NGO, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Masters of ceremonies were actress Sally Fields and editor in chief of Newsweek , Tina Brown. Diane Von Furstenberg among other notables were presenters to seven recipients including Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas.
